Temple Ruins
Original settlers constructed great temples in praise of the fertility goddess Aphrodite. The ruins of these places of worship are still in evidence and although now in ruin give you a chance to imagine how things would have been, capturing an enchantment to be taken as as a lasting memory when returning home.

Aphrodite's Rock
A day out in your car hire can take you to Aphrodite's Rock which is a spectacular and historical location along the coastline. Legend has it that if you swim around the rock three times you will have eternal youth.

Weather
Cyprus is generally a sunny island, even in its colder months, with an average number of daily hours of sunshine ranging from six in winter to twelve or thirteen in summer. The island is generally sunny in winter, although you should expect some cloudy and rainy days but at least there is plenty to do and see, so a winter holiday can be a welcome, fun break, even if you don't get a tan.
